Common Questions
Find Answers About the CAT Program
Six of the most-asked questions from nursing graduates. We're here to help. Reach us at support@nurseforward.com.
What's included in the CAT Program?
Two computerized adaptive exams: an Assessment CAT (your baseline) and a Readiness CAT (your final check), both in the same format as the actual NCLEX. After each exam you get a detailed feedback report mirroring the Candidate Performance Report (CPR) that NCSBN provides. It covers Client Needs, Cognitive Skills, and Content Areas where you're strong and where you need to focus. 4-month access. One payment.
What's the difference between RN and PN?
The RN CAT Program prepares you for the NCLEX-RN (Registered Nurse). The PN CAT Program prepares you for the NCLEX-PN (Practical/Vocational Nurse). Same Silvestri Method behind both, item difficulty calibrated to each exam. If you're sitting for the NCLEX-RN, choose RN. If you're sitting for the NCLEX-PN, choose PN.
Do I get answers and rationales?
For test security, the CAT exams do not show per-question answers or rationales. Each exam can only be taken once, the same way the real NCLEX works. What you get instead is a detailed feedback report identifying your strengths and the Client Needs and Content Areas you need to study. For per-question rationales, pair the CAT Program with the 1,000-QBank (or get the Bundle).
How long do I have access?
Four months from the date of purchase. That window covers taking your Assessment CAT, studying the gaps it identifies, taking the Readiness CAT, and revisiting your feedback report as your exam date approaches.
Can I combine the CAT Program with other offerings?
Yes, and most students do. The CAT Program pairs with the NCLEX® Success by Design course (5 parts on test design, item types, NGN strategies) and the 1,000-QBank (questions with full rationales, organized by Client Needs). The Bundle gives you all three in one checkout for the cost of a small saving over buying separately.
What if I have more questions before buying?
Email support@nurseforward.com. We respond within one business day. Or jump on a free 20-minute discovery call with Dr. Linda or Dr. Angela Silvestri to talk through your specific situation. We'd rather you choose the right product than guess.
You're 30 seconds from knowing exactly where you stand. The same Candidate Performance Report the NCSBN gives only to students who fail. Yours, before exam day.

Demo 2Live countdown timer

Demo 4Scarcity bar fill

pin-pulse keyframe radiates outward from each pin every 2s · pins draw the eye to specific report regions in Section 26 (Annotated CPR Visual). Hover scales 1.12 with deeper shadow.
ping-glow keyframe pulses a soft brand-color glow around the button every 1.8s · use sparingly. One ping at a time on the page or the eye stops registering it. Drop in on the primary above-fold CTA only.
Motion budget: one rule
A landing page should never have more than three concurrently animating elements in any viewport. Two is better. The countdown ticks always (it's a clock). One CRO microinteraction (toast OR ping OR counter) at a time. Honor prefers-reduced-motion. Production should disable shimmer/pulse/ping for accessibility users.

Why most students miss it
You don't fail the NCLEX because you didn't study. You fail because you studied the wrong thing.
The NCLEX isn't a content test. It's a clinical-judgment test in adaptive format. The students who pass first time learn the structure of the exam before they walk in. The ones who don't, learn it the hard way.
✓The same adaptive engine the real exam uses
✓The same eight Client Needs the NCSBN grades
✓The same six Content Areas, scored Above / Near / Below
Of NCLEX research, item writing, and outcomes data
I walked into my exam knowing exactly which Client Needs I had locked in and which one I needed to spend my last two days on. I'd never had that visibility before NurseForward. The report is the difference.
